Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The schedule initially consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a stable houseparent role living with the same students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-year minimum marriage (two-person role)
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
