Job Summary
Flex Houseparents are a two-person, full-time on-campus role where a married couple resides in student homes to provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and can transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided, and the compensation is approximately $46,917 per person (around $180,000 total per couple with benefits). Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, retirement, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working with youth
- Willingness to live on-campus in student homes
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free campus
- Ability to drive student home vans after certification
- Commitment to Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
