Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and mentorship to approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role after initial placement. Requires a legally married couple (both spouses ≥27) with a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Compensation includes salary per person ($46,917) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; relocation to Hershey, PA is provided as part of the package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited but ability to lead devotions and Chapels
