Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off duty schedule and progresses to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include a salary of $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple), relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, and paid time off. This is a two-person, married-couple requirement with on-campus housing and a strong emphasis on a structured, family-like environment for student development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
