Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; comprehensive benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
