Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a legally married two-person role where a couple resides in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship and guidance, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; benefits include comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual applications
- Two years married minimum
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
