Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes, supervising and guiding 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Individuals begin on a nine-day-on, three-day-off schedule before transitioning to a placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The position requires two married spouses ages 27+ who will complete individual applications; on-site housing and meals provided, relocation assistance offered, and a comprehensive benefits package is included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
