Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: married couples reside on campus to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey, PA as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person employment for couples
