Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside on-campus in student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Work schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
