Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students, delivering daily supervision, mentorship, and activities that support academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple, with housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more), comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires experience with youth, a two-person married-couple team, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus and Judeo-Christian chapel participation.
Required Qualifications
