Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, coordinating budgets and household reporting, and guiding students through daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three off, with a transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Desire to lead devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
