Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and support a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, and transportation to activities. Responsibilities include planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from rotating nine-days-on/three-days-off schedules to a stable placed houseparent assignment with the same student group. The role requires a legally married two-person team, both spouses aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; on-campus housing, meals, and benefits are included. Security restrictions include a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and no alcohol while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
