Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of routines for a group of 8–13 students in an on-campus home. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins on a nine-on/three-off rotation and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. This is a two-person, married-couple position with relocation support and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus

- Couples married for at least two years

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- On-campus residency required
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans
