Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and mentorship to groups of approximately 8–13 students living in on-campus homes at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and initially supporting various student homes on a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. This is a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent position for married couples, with relocation provided and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role; couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
