Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, supervising and supporting 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and wellness oversight, administering medications, driving students to activities, coordinating and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and handling budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role, living with the same group of students in their home. Relocation assistance is provided; compensation includes housing and meals on duty along with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two-person role for couples
- Relocation assistance provided
- On-campus housing provided as part of compensation
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Age 27 or older per spouse
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
- On-campus living for couples
