Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, manage budgeting and household reporting, and follow a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty then three days off, with eventual placement as a consistent houseparent for a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples (two years married)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
