Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside on-campus in student homes (eight to thirteen students per home), providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental and religious activities. Responsibilities include managing household routines, student scheduling, budgeting and reporting, guiding students’ academic, emotional, and social development, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; benefits include salary per person (stated as $46,917.00 per person, total compensation around $180,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
