Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing on campus to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, accompany Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially, schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid US driver’s license, experience with youth, and is relocation-assisted.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
