Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) will reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students, including daily supervision, mentorship, and scheduling; responsibilities include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple homes initially with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle before transitioning to a fixed placed home with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Married couple in good standing for at least two years
- Two-spouse role
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Chapel
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
