Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental/recreational activities, and lead daily devotions and Chapel sessions. The role includes budgeting and reporting for the household, with an initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle transitioning into a permanent placement with the same student group. Requires a legally married couple with at least two years together, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, willingness to relocate ( relocation assistance provided), and commitment to a smoke-free, alcohol-free campus. Skills include mentorship, youth support, transportation, event/activity planning, caregiving in a structured, family-like environment, and capacity to work within a faith-based setting.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
