Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; includes comprehensive benefits and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
