Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School: couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Relocation assistance provided
- Paid training provided
- Must be able to become certified to drive student home vans
