Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at a residential student home. Couples reside on campus to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, including daily supervision, managing routines/schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role progresses from initially supporting multiple homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is included with on-campus housing and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Prohibition on alcohol while on duty
- Background with youth
- Or ability to work in a two-person couple role
