Job Summary
Flex Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple student homes, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living in a dedicated student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-year married-couple arrangement with both spouses applying individually. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
