Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students in a home setting. Duties include daily supervision, routine management, medication administration, driving and planning activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917), relocation assistance, medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and age 27+.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
