Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes, managing routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and lead devotions while planning recreational engagements. Oversee household budgeting and reporting. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, aged 27 or older, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Must be available for nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Must reside in on-campus student homes
- Must provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students
- Must administer medications and ensure student wellness
- Must drive students to activities
- Must plan and actively engage in developmental and recreational activities with students
- Must lead daily devotions
- Must accompany students to Sunday Chapel
- Must oversee budgeting and household reporting
- Must be married
- Must be available for weekend shifts
