Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household routine management for a group of 8–13 students in an on-campus home. Administer medications, ensure wellness, and drive students to activities while planning developmental and recreational engagements. Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initially work a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Requires a legal marriage of at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, and a valid U.S. driver's license. Salary is $44,768 per person, with free housing and meals included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
