Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning recreational engagements. Oversee budgeting and reporting, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a dedicated student group. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time while students are in school. Requires valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
