Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmentally and spiritually oriented activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent with a consistent student-home assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Couples living on-campus with up to three dependent children in the student home
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
