Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with comprehensive health benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. Requires two legally married spouses (both must apply) and adherence to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty). Relocation to Hershey, PA is involved as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to chapel services
