Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (a two-person married-couple role) reside on-campus to care for 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and family-like structure. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, conducting daily devotions and Chapel visits, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student home. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance is provided, and the role offers comprehensive benefits and on-campus housing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
