Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School located on campus in Hershey, PA. The couple resides in student homes, provides care, supervision, and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students, manages household routines, administers medications, drives students to activities, plans and participates in developmental and recreational activities, leads daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversees budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition into a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided and benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement options, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
