Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, handling daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, and developmentally supportive activities, with duties including devotions and Sunday Chapel. They follow a nine-on, three-off schedule during initial placement, then transition to the same student home as placed Houseparents. The role requires two married spouses, both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or Carlyle, IL. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-person role for couples
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or Carlyle, IL to serve on-campus homes
