Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision/mentorship, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Two-person, married-couple team; relocation to Hershey, PA is provided; benefits include comprehensive health options, retirement, PTO, and relocation/training support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
