Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person married couple will reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and initially support various student homes on a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle before transitioning to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; includes comprehensive benefits and housing/utilities. Requires both spouses to be legally married for at least two years, age 27+, and to complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment: both spouses must submit individual applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children residing in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
