Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes and, as a two-person married couple, provide supervision, mentorship, medication Administration, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. The role includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with benefits that cover medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, paid time off, and relocation assistance; salary per person is $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple) plus on-duty housing, meals, utilities, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
