Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation is provided, with comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
