Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, coordinating routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role transitions from nine days on / three days off to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home, with relocation to Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must apply
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proficiency with daily devotions and chapel services
