Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents role on a residential campus, residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from rotating nine-on/three-off duties to a Placed Houseparent arrangement living with the same group. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA with on-campus housing and benefits, including medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid training. Qualifying requirements include experience with youth, a valid U.S. driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus conduct policies. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse commitment with evidence of legal marriage for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the home
