Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from flexible assignments across homes to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student group. The role spans nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation assistance provided and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven professionalism and integrity; role-model duties for students
- For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
Additional Requirements
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
