Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person married couple will reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and activities for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires a legally married couple for consideration, with both spouses completing individual applications; prior experience with youth is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
