Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmentally-focused and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off start schedule and eventual placement in a steady student-home setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
