Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, a married couple living on campus to supervise and support 8–13 students in a home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to high level of integrity and professionalism
