Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students; responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The role operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with eventual placement in a single student home. Requires experience with youth, a legally married two-person team (both spouses 27+), high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA (on-campus), and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
