Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in a home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off duty cycle with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation assistance provided
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
- On-campus residence in student homes
- Full-time schedule nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Ability to work in a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Two-spouse coordination and individual applications required

- No alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Must be able to live on campus in student home
- Must be 27 or older per spouse
