Job Summary
Flex Houseparents are a two-person, full-time on-campus caregiving role residing in student homes at Milton Hershey School. The pair provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. The position requires relocation to Hershey, PA, for both spouses, and is focused on creating a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty)
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Experience with youth preferred
- Relocation to Hershey, PA required
