Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and structured routines for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household budgeting and reporting. The role eventually transitions to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Requires a legally married couple, with both spouses age 27 or older, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to relocate to the Hershey, PA area. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
