Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person married couple will reside on-campus in student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students, providing care, mentorship, medication administration, transportation, development and recreational activities, daily devotions, and budgeting/reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; on-site benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
