Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School who are a married two-person team living on campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living in the same student home; relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive benefits provided; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Prohibition on alcohol on duty but campus rules are listed
- Committment to Christian chapel services and devotions
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Smokefree and weapon-free campus
- Relocation assistance provided
