Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in Lanark, IL, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with an eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same students in their home. The position is a two-person, married-couple role with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, on a campus that offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
